WEEKEND RECAP

Another Saturday at the gym watching Coco play basketball.

A special guest this week. My nephew E got to come watch her play. He asked her at lunch why she didn't get that ball in the goal? Innocence is wonderful.

Our girls will FIGHT for it!

Her own little cheering section. Aunt Tammy, Uncle Michael, Mimi, Nana, Papa, Cousins Jake, Kaylee and E.

Saturday night we were with family celebrating 3 birthdays for my Aunt and 2 uncles. These are my Mothers brothers and sisters. Sadly we have lost 2 of her brothers in recent years. I don't see them often so it was good to see everyone. I got a couple of OMG's when I walked in. Maybe I should come around more often.

My first attempt at making a magazine bowl. The inside looks much better than the outside. I have been working on my Girl Scout calendar for the rest of the year and we will be doing a lot of things regarding recycling and reuseing. I have found some great crafts that we will be trying in our meetings. Lots of fun coming up!

Another great weekend has past.
I wish you all a great week ahead.
Be back soon
Blessings

DAY 14

Boy I will tell you, I sure didn't think this bathroom was going to take over 2 weeks to complete.
I was so excited when I came home today.
There is tile on the walls and floors. PTL

Don't worry I am not having red paint around my tub. LOL
This is a water proofing thing he painted on before the tile.
He left the bottom so that the top could dry and wouldn't slip down .
The guy that is doing our tile has been doing it for 40+ years, he might be a little slower but when he is done it will be wonderful.

the floor in the process. I am loving the tile I picked out.

Today we had our office Christmas lunch. We played White Elephant and look what I came home with!

Won't that come in handy cleaning my new tile (and my old)...
So happy with it.

Tomorrow begins our Basketball season. For the next 10-12 weeks our Saturdays will be spent in a gym somewhere watching Coco play ball. She made the A team.
It amazes me her love for sports. I was not a sporty kind of girl but I am glad that she is. I will spend every weekend doing this so that she can play as long as she gives it 100% and she always does. I truly believe that team sports teaches children so many things. Especially with her being an only child.

Have a wonderful weekend!

TIRED

Whew I am exhausted after working again.  The new job is going great. I forgot how different working in a bank is than working for a mortgage company. I really like it and the people I work with. That is always a plus!

I have been getting up earlier so that I can take Coco and a friend to Girl Scout day camp before I go to work. I am ready for that to be over!

It has been so long since I wore my work shoes that my feet are swelling by the end of the day. I know it is not from being on my feet because I am mosting at my desk during the day. I woke up at 5:30am this morning with a horrible charlie horse in my calf. Hoping that doesn't happen again tonight. I will be taking some ibuprofen before going to bed.

Not only a new job and GS camp, we also have softball tournaments this week. She played tonight at 7:30 (they won 15-7) and will play again on Thursday.

I am praying for Saturday to come soon. So that I can sleep in and do absolutely nothing!!!!!

Have a great week!

This is where I spent most of my time.....

I also have great news.

I have a job!

I DON'T DRINK NO LEMONADE, ALL I DRINK IS GATORADE

WE DON'T DRINK NO LEMONADE
ALL WE DRINK IS GATORADE

WE DON'T PLAY WITH BARBIE DOLLS
WE JUST PLAY WITH BATS AND BALLS

WE DON'T TAKE NO NAPS ALL DAY
WE JUST PLAY THE GAME ALL DAY

This is the newest song Coco and her teammates sing while playing softball. I thought it was pretty catchy! Their team is doing very well this year and playing hard.

These photos are from our Tuesday night game. We won 11 to 4 and are tied for 2nd place in the league

Playing left field. She picked up a ball and made a very good throw to first base.

Batter up! I think she walked on this one. At this age of girl pitch sometimes good pitches are hard won.

She did make it home with a slideeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! She was proud of that moment

Proud teammate too. See that grin.
The little # 7 is a 3rd grader and can she play ball! She got a homerun last night with time left over!
Several talented little ball players on our team.
Only a few more games until tournament time. I would love to see them make it to #1 spot. This team has played together for 3 years and have really grown together too.

SATURDAY RECAP

Where did our warm weather go?
Our day started out with Coco and I sleeping in until after 10am. Whew it felt good. She had a ball game at noon, it started raining when we left the house so I hoped all the way there that the game would be cancelled. Nope they played in the rain and I sat in the rain. By the time it was over I was frozen solid. I will have to make us a ball bag with blankets, towel, umbrella and extra socks for my MIL that wore flip flops and had to go sit in the truck because she was so cold. Coco went home with Nana and Papa after the game. I came home and was so cold that I layed down in bed to try to get warm and fell asleep.

Scott took a friends grandson on a hog hunt in Harrison today so he missed out on the fun at the ball park. When he finally got home we ran into town to eat. We looked kinda ratty in yoga pants and a t-shirt so we ate at Dave's Bar-b-que since there weren't many people there. Didn't want to see anyone I knew looking like I just got out of bed.

I love all the old stuff they decorate the restaurant with.

Coco with her pork sandwich. Scott did not want pork after his hunt today...

I had the brisket meal. Oh my it was so good, I thought at first I would have left overs for tomorrow but I finished off the entire thing.

I have watched several episodes of International House Hunters today, 2 of the shows were people looking for a 2nd home in Italy and Mexico. I have to tell you I jealous. Can you just imagine having a 2nd home in either of those spaces? The Italy house they chose was a 1 room granny flat. That is what they call the MIL quarters. My dream would be a 2nd home in Destin, Florida.
Where would you want to have a 2nd home?

ITS THAT TIME OF YEAR

Coco had her first softball game this week. It is the teams first year of girl pitch. It could be a long year!
They actually did good for the first game. They won 13 to 9.
I love the socks she got. It is cute to see the whole team in black and red.

Dusty shoes and all.

This is Coco in the red helmet coming in to home plate. She skinned her knees up so we need to practice the sliding. She also got hit in the legs and ankles by the pitcher. The way the girls have to swing their arms around to pitch makes it hard for them to control where that ball is going to go.

This will be our life until July!
