GOING TO THE CHAPEL

Today marks 12 years of marriage for Scott and I. The first best day of my life. Scott is loving, compassionate, dependable, and handsome to boot.

I couldn't ask for a better mate. The past 12 years have flown by and I look forward to many more years with my honey.

I loved my wedding day. I wish it didn't happen so fast that day. I didn't have time to stop and really enjoy all the moments. I wish I could have worn my dress longer. There were people I didn't get to spend time with. Looking back it seemed so rushed.  Scott probably wouldn't agree, he was ready to get on with the honeymoon in Cancun. Ha

Thats the thing about weddings, you learn so much from the day but it can't be reproduced. I will make sure Coco's day is unhurried and it might be a long day but she will get to take time to enjoy every person and every moment.

WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT

I had the honor of taking pictures at my cousins wedding yesterday.
It was a beautiful wedding.

Olivia (far right) was born at just a little over 1lb and now she is 3 years old and healthy as can be. I just fell in love with her. They are all so sweet and so well behaved.

A FEW MORE

I have narrowed the photos down from over 1000 to just over 700. I still have some editing to do but I wanted to weed out the blurry, blah ones first.

I want to make sure that the photos tell the story of the day. I was thinking about the wedding today and thought of so many different shots I wish we would have gotten. The wedding was at Magnolia Gardens in Springdale. This was my first time there and it is gorgeous. Lots of different places to take pictures from the most formal to the country hoedown with the big red barn. I am wishing we would have taken some by the barn before it got to dark.

A WEDDING STORY

I got a call a few weeks ago from cousin asking if I would photograph a wedding for her friend. I was happy to do it but let them know I am not a professional!

The wedding was last night and it was a beautiful event. The couple were so sweet and fun. They have to precious little girls too! I took over 1000 pictures but hopefully I can get a couple hundred really good ones for them.

I definitely learned lots of things by doing this.
1. I need a flash and a backup battery
2. The wedding party needs to be ready at least 2 hours before the wedding.
3. I need to practice using the tripod
4. I need to practice practice practice
5. A photographer earns their money.

My sister helped me (Thank you Tammy Lou) and we went from 4:30 to 9:30. We left the wedding and went to Zaxby's. After sitting down to eat I was tired. When I went to bed last night every bone in my body was hurting. I guess from the tension and running around, up and down.

Below are a couple of the shots I got. I need to do some fixing before I print and make cd's for the bride.

More of the Reception

This was my idea too. I wanted them to saran wrap the truck ~ I told them to put cans on the back, vaseline under the handles and fix the horn so that it would honk everytime they hit the brakes but I only got the saran wrap. The rain might have had something to do with it.

They have a large family already. Sueanne has a son and Dallas has 2. What a chore they have in front of them. 2, 3 & 5 Whew! She looks as though it is not a problem.

Dallas with E and Kaylee. Ornery is a word for both but very loving kids!!!

I love this one of him and K! So cute. Might just have to blow that one up!

I thought I would put on a better photo of the Guestbook table. (except for that cup that someone left there).

Have ya'll ever dealt with anemia??? I have been feeling really sick yesterday and today. I have stomach issues and when I get up to move around I get this cold sweat and kind of shaky. It is weird and I am thinking it is either low sugar or anemia. You know trying to diagnose myself....

THE RECEPTION

We had a great day, despite the weather. I hosted the reception/shower for my nephew Dallas and his bride Sueanne. They eloped in January so we didn't get to do the wedding :(!

They are super happy and the new "IN LOVE" feeling was in the air today! Here are a few of the photos from the day.

I picked the wrong one but I am to tired to go back and find another. Thank goodness they had a better photographer than me there.

This was the guest book table. I decoupaged their initials hanging on the front. I also painted the "W" board for it too.

I put one of these vases on each end of the cake & punch table.

This was another arrangement I made for the tables. I loved the apples in there.

This was the gift that I made for them. A while back I showed you some photos I took for this. I love these and to order one is very expensive but I like doing them myself. More personal I think.

The happy couple is off on a short honeymoon and I hope they enjoyed their day. I sure enjoyed doing it for them.

Dallas and I have made alot of memories since he was born. I remember teaching him to tie his shoes and blow bubbles. We spent several New Years together when I was single and he was just a boy. Now he is all grown up and married. Very proud of him and love him very much.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

My nephew eloped on January 30, 2009. Little stinker! In honor of their marriage I am hosting a reception for them at the end of March. The bride picked black/lime green for her colors. Today Coco and I went to Hobby Lob and these are some of things we picked up.

I am also doing the invitations and found that cute paper on the left. I love the apples in the vase and the daisy's and feathers will be used in vases for the tables. I am having a ball doing this for them. I am going to make some large squares out of the black/white fabric and lime tulle for the tables too. I need to get some canvas to make some monograms for the decor.

I hope she will love it. I have some other ideas up my sleeve so I will show those later.
