THANK YOU PINTEREST

I am addicted to Pinterest projects. I have found so many things I love, want to make, feel good inspiration, etc.
My latest find comes from the blog Decor to Adore. She has a lovely blog and is creative. She took this lamp from Anthropolgie and made it herself.

I fell in love with it and told her I had to steal her idea.

Saturday my sister and I went south to Fort Smith to shop at some new flea markets. I found this lamp at a market in Alma. I even got it for $3.50! Can't beat a deal like that.

Here is the after

I bought a plain shade at Walmart. Found the felt flowers already cut at Hobby Lobby. The flowers are yellow, orange and turquoise. I used yellow thread to make a little stitch in the middle of each one. I cut the leaves free hand and bought a brownish greenish yarn for the stem.

I painted the base a aqua blue that I already had.
I love it.
Now to clean off a table to put it on

THANK YOU DECORE TO ADORE AND PINTEREST!!!

OUTDOOR CHRISTMAS

I finally put out my sled this year.

Pinterest inspiration. I had a difficult time finding plain wreaths this year.
I would like to have them smaller so that it is more of a gradual size but I love this one anyway.

Our best Christmas present of the year Abbi Lane
She is still ruling the house

I can't believe it is only 7 days til Christmas. I have managed to buy most of the presents, still have a few to get this week. Working 50 hours plus drive time leaves me very little extra time for shopping.
Couple of parties today, I love seeing friends and family but would sure like to have a lazy day at home.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

REALLY BEHIND

I have been a bad bad blogger. Life has just been way to busy and not much in the way of fun adventures.
Last weekend I did get to go hang out with my sister and a couple of her friends.
We planned a craft night and she asked me to come teach them how make tassels.

These are 3 that we did. Laura did the Santa on the left and I did the dress form and rooster for my house. I had a great time crafting since I hadn't been doing anything crafty and fun in sooooooo long!

Tammy Lou (my sister) picked out 2 super cute ornaments to make her tassels. I love the scarecrow and the snowman.

Tammy Lou has been doing lots of decorating and redoing around her house. I took a few photos to share.

The mantle in her den is looking great.

Love this desk she found on craigslist and all the fall decor.

I loved this little vignette on the end of her bar. She has some really cute fall decor.

One wall of her scrapbook room. She and her friend Laura went in and totally reorganized it. Now we just need to make good use of it and do some scrapbooking.

We are in the middle of a bathroom remodel. We started on Friday night.
So far we (i use that term losely as I am blogging while Scott and Papa work)

Demo done
Completely empty room.
Old tile on walls removed
Subfloor removed
Walls sanded
Durarock subfloor put down

Maybe we'll get the new tub in tonight.

I am off to Home Depot to spend some mooola!

WEEKEND REPORT

I have been a bad blogger! Scott was on a mission trip last week helping build a chapel with Builders for Christ. I didn't realize how much I depend on him with Coco during the week. I will just say IT WAS A LONG WEEK!
Coco and I were so excited for him to come home.

Coco came home from Nana's with all these cups so she built this for her Daddy and wanted me to take pictures of it.

Saturday she and her Daddy got out to practice shooting their bows. She got this one at Academy a few weeks ago. Don't all girls shoot bows and arrows while wearing pearl braclets?

Practice Practice Practice. Well until the arrows break!

I meanwhile was in the house readying it for fall. I had planned to have this completed last week but he had the storage building key with him in Kansas City.
This little area is my favorite. Simple and cute

Book shelves

Little scarecrow I have had for too many years to count!

After I finished I realized I don't really have anything that says Halloween. I might have to set a date with Hobby Lobby to remedy that this week.

I forgot to take photos of the kitchen but I am watching DWTS so I don't want to get up. Maybe at commercial.
I will leave you with
HAPPY FALL Y'ALL

VALENTINE DECOR

I have been decorating for Valentines Day.
This is 3 bags of candy hearts and I need a couple more, I didn't realize my vase was so deep. By the way I got 2 of these hurricane vases after Christmas at Walmart for $5.00 each. I wanted them when they were $20.00 but kept telling myself no. I am so glad I waited.

Here is our Valentine tree. I used this tree on my desk at work for Christmas and thought it would look great to use as Valentines.

I found all the trimmings at my favorite place of all time Hobby Lobby. My husband thinks I alone keep them in business. If only he knew! he he he he

I have spent today relaxing and working on a couple of unfinished projects. It has rained the entire day so I didn't want to get out except to walk to the mailbox. I was hoping to get a new magazine to read but no such luck. I will show you pictures of what I have been working on and some more Valentine treats. I have so many projects that are half way completed, does anyone else do this? I am gung ho at the moment but then I lose it if it is something that I can't finish in one sitting. Trying to work on not doing it this year.

I watched My Sisters Keeper today. It was a good movie, I had read the book last year and enjoyed it too. It has been so long since I read it that I didn't quite remember all so it didn't ruin the movie for me. I just love Abigail Breslin, such a strong actress for a little girl.

Ok I am off to wind down before going to bed!
Blessings,
Pam

WHAT I CALL MY DESIGN & DECOR BOOK

This is where I put all the desires of my heart for my home. When I find a inspiration photo in a magazine I rip it out and put it here. I have had the book for a couple of years and added to it sporadically. I fixed it up with a new cover and dividers this weekend.

These are a couple of designs I loved. This first one is the bar at the bottom. I really want to redo our bar, it is the low one from the 60's and it functions but I want to move it to the other side of the kitchen entry and raise it up to bar height. So i am saving this picture for ideas.
This one is the scrapbooking armoir that I covet at the moment. I don't know that I could condense all I have to fit it here but if i had it I would sure try real hard.

Do you have a place where you keep your ideas?
Blessings,
Pam

HOME SWEET HOME

Welcome to our home. Get comfy and make yourselves at home.

This is the view of the living room when you walk in the door.

The kitchen. It is not perfectly clean and it never is. I seem to always have dishes in the sink. Weird since I don't cook all the time.

I had the dining room table all cleaned off and pretty but Scott came in with veggies from the garden. He also had to put together is new camera and I had already ran him off from the living room for a photo so I let it go and took the photo with him in it. My computer is in the corner. Not the best set up but it works. With Coco getting older we don't want it in a bedroom this way we can keep an eye on what she is doing online.

Our bedroom. This is a 1960's home and the bedrooms are pretty small so I couldn't get a full view. We have a king size bed. This is the comforter set I bought this year for spring and summer. My other is a brown/red/gold/green paisley print for fall and winter. I loved my little lamps but after seeing these pictures I realized I need bigger lamps. These are too small for the big bed. I have a vinyl clingy that says "Always kiss me goodnight" that I purchased to put on a long mirror over our bed but I don't know how to arrange it. The mirror would look small by itself. I also need a headboard but haven't found what I want. That could be because I don't know what I want.
So that's my home. Hope you enjoyed. We are growing out of it but love it just the same.
Blessings,
Pam

PS: Why won't the fonts change with half my post?? Weird

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

My nephew eloped on January 30, 2009. Little stinker! In honor of their marriage I am hosting a reception for them at the end of March. The bride picked black/lime green for her colors. Today Coco and I went to Hobby Lob and these are some of things we picked up.

I am also doing the invitations and found that cute paper on the left. I love the apples in the vase and the daisy's and feathers will be used in vases for the tables. I am having a ball doing this for them. I am going to make some large squares out of the black/white fabric and lime tulle for the tables too. I need to get some canvas to make some monograms for the decor.
I hope she will love it. I have some other ideas up my sleeve so I will show those later.
Blessings,
Pam

Where have I been???

This is where we have been most of this week. This is from this morning. That is my girl pitching. THEY WON! Yea! They beat a team that was undefeated until today. That was a lot of fun. It really helped their moral!

Yesterday was the last day of school and we took Coco for ice cream. We now have a third grader! She is growing up way to fast!
More ball games and practices. We have been at the ball field 4 days out of 6 this week and we will be there probably 3-4 days next week.

Since we were in Florida on Mothers Day we took my mom (Mimi) to Mimi's Cafe for lunch today. She had never been there before. She loved it, she ordered the Chicken Pot Pie which was almost to pretty to eat. I had my usual Grilled Liver yum yum and it is only 4 points for all of it. We won't talk about the mashed potatoes and gravy.
After lunch we went to TJ Maxx and boy did I find some bargains. I found a King size mattress pad for $20.00, a shower curtain for $5.00 and a long rug for the bath for $15.00
I came home and clean the bathroom from top to bottom and put up all the new stuff. It looks like a new room. I will post a photo of it tomorrow.
I also found some brown patten leather espadrilles. They are adorable!
We have had a great day, Scott got started on cleaning our little pool so hopefully we can be playing in it by next weekend. He got more of my plants in the ground too.
It is a good day when you can look around and see what you have accomplished.
I am looking forward to church tomorrow. I haven't been in 4 weeks. Thursday I went to our local daycare to sign Colby up for summer and I saw 1 of my little Sunday schoolers. She didn't recognize me at first because I had gotten a shorter hair cut and I am wearing my contacts more. When I told her I was Ms. Pam she ran into my arms and had the biggest smile on her face. It made my day. She is a twin so I had to go out to see the other and she calls me Ms. Ham. They were so excited to see me and kept giving me lots of hugs and lots of questions. Can't to see them all tomorrow.
Have a great Sunday!

My Favorite Things at home

Kellys Korner is hosting a post your favorite room at her blog (see her in my side bar under Fabulous People). I don't have a photo of a complete room but I do have some of my favorite things. I will have to get some photos this weekend. This first photo is my wall of crosses. Love them.
This is really lopsided and I don't know why I took the picture that way. This is my hutch. It was a old 70's wood look and I sanded it down, painted it cream and my FIL put a antique glaze on it. Isn't it pretty for FREE! That makes it even prettier in my book.
And my wall of C's. I love these too!

This is a little antique table in my living room. I really like how it is decorated.

That it for me right now. Go check out Kellys blog for some beautiful decorating.
