JUST WHAT I NEEDED

SHOPPING
I called home about 4pm to see if Scott wanted to meet me in town with her.
She answered the phone and told me she didn't want to go. She wanted me to just pick her out some stuff and she promised to wear it.
What girl doesn't like to go shopping?
MY GIRL
I did get her a few things and she modeled them for us.
She was actually happy with everything I bought.
I will have to do a photo shoot to show her off in her more girly outfits!!
Pray for us that she doesn't wake up in a new world tomorrow and hate it all!!!!!!!

I am sure I have forgotten something and most of the extra stuff we really needed but with me not working we can't afford to keep having weekly bills like this. It is usually anywhere from $120 to $200 every single week. I had bought meat last week and didn't cook alot so we have chicken, fish, burger and steaks in the freezer, thank goodness or our bill would have been $250 or more.
I would love to be able spend about $80 per week, it would be hard but doable.
What does your weekly grocery bill look like? What tips do you have to save money on grocery day?
We shop at Walmart because we are in Walmart country and we get 10% off on non food items. Would I save money if I shopped at a grocery only stores?
Need your help? Please leave me some tips on how we can get our grocery bill down.
Blessings,
Pam

A GOOD DAY

MY DAY PRODUCTIVE IF NOTHING ELSE
It started here at the optometrist. Where we decided I would continue with the same contacts but wear readers for up close. Yea Me!Then on to the DMV to renew my drivers license. Very quick and uneventful.
On to the endodontist(sp?) where luckily I didn't have to do the root canal but it is because he felt it was a waste of time and money because the tooth will not support a crown so I will have to get it pulled. I am so angry at my dentist, they started the root canal on this tooth a month ago and told me it was calcified and sent me to the endo. They shouldn't have even started the root canal knowing the tooth would not support a crown. They are just money hungry, I've decided. So now I have to find a new dentist to do the extraction. Oh and they recommended the tooth next to it get a root canal too but the endo tested it and it is perfectly healthy and normal! Do not go to Pinnacle Hills Dental they are a rip off !
I had to pick up Coco at my Mom's and since I was a little early we decided to hit target and walmart for school supplies. Buying school supplies is my favorite thing to d0! We couldn't find the list for her school so we used a few lists and merged them together. If we are missing something we can always go back. I also pick up extras for throughout the year while they are on sale. We also fill a backpack for another child so these prices are great. I was naive last year when I heard about the backpacks but I talked to our school and there are always several children on the first day that show up with nothing. That is so sad to me. So buy some extra crayons and pencils for your school or hook up with the local KLRC they are filling backpacks.
We had to make a stop here to pickup a order Scott called in.
We were in Kohls and Coco got this little friend which she buckled up in the back seat. He is nameless right now but that won't last for long. She names them all.Friday, December 19, 2008
THE PRESENT
While at walmart this week I bought myself a present. I even put it in my stocking. These adorable black / zebra rubber gloves! For the whopping price of $2.97. They are spectacular, I think. I know I am a crazy woman, but I am easy to please.
I also bought myself this ornament. I am a lover of GREASE !!
GREASE IS THE WORD!!!!!! Can't ya hear that song in your head????? IS THE WORD IS THE WORD!!
This little ornament is like the drive -in movie and changes scenes on the screen and plays Sandra Dee! Love it too!
But the best thing that happened today is that I had guests tonight. My sister and her family and my Mama came up to see the house and have dinner with us. Do ya'll say up and down for north and south??? Weird I just thought of that!
Anyway they came up and I made french bread pizzas and had leftover pies from the office party today. We had the best time just visiting and the kids got to play together. I even made a couple of tassels to show Tammy Lou how I do it. She took one home and I forgot to take a photo of the one I made. I am just so glad they came to visit. I love my family and we don't get together just to hang out enough! Maybe that can be a new years resolution!
Tomorrow I get to stay home until evening when we will go have Christmas with Scott's family! I look forward to the rest and spending time with them!
It is supposed to get really brrrrrrrr cold sometime this weekend and I am not looking forward to that!
Have a great weekend and I will post my newest tassel tomorrow (if I can pull myself out of bed)!
Blessings,
Pam

HEART OF TULSA
I want to show ya'll what I got yesterday.
This is my aunt Thelma, Mama and Me. Aren't they just the cutest! We don't get to hang out like this to often so I really enjoyed spending the day with them.
I found this purse 50% off so I couldn't pass it up. The black wallet was also 50% off. I got both for $28 dollars! Love a great bargain. The red wallet is a small clutch type. It was only 12.50 and I didn't see them anywhere else at the fair for under $20. I probably would have spent the $20 because I have wanted one for awhile. We all four bought a purse like the one above , but in different colors.
Tammy Lou talked me into this tote bag. She was getting one and I liked it but was on the fence. As I was looking this one with the "C" was already monogrammed and then another one with a "P" so I think it was meant to be. She had to wait for hers to be monogrammed but mine was all ready. We are both addicted to tote bags.
We stopped at Old Time Pottery and I found more Christmas balls and ribbon in the brown tones. I plan to do a tree in our bedroom in the browns, rusts, and golds. The balls were only $2.99 and the ribbon was $3.99. Much more affordable than the ones I bought at Hobby Lobby last week. I can't wait to get this up and decorated. I hope to link to Boomamas Christmas tour so you will get to see all of our Christmas decor. After the fair we had lunch at Mimi's which is one of my favorite spots. I didn't get any photos of our lunch together. We also stopped at Ross's to have a look see. I love Ross, it takes time to look around everything but you can find some great deals if you take your time. I bought a vest and Coco some winter shirts for school.
The shopping ended up being just about us. We all spent more on ourselves than buying Christmas presents, which we all thought was pretty funny. I guess we needed this girls day out. I have to say it again I had a great time with my girls!
Please pray that this illness goes away. Especially the sore throat. I really want to be able to eat all the Thanksgiving goodness that Mama prepares for us. I have been focusing on all the things I am Thankful for this year and my Mama and our family is at the top of list. I don't know what I would do without them. They make me happy!!!!
Blessings,
Pam

I've missed you.
Here are a few photos of what I have been doing. The photos got out of order and I can't get them to move so here they are.
This is Pizza Spaghetti Casserole. I'm sorry to the blogger that I got this from but I can't remember where I found it. I made it tonight and it was yummy. Both Coco and Scott wanted 2Nd's. that is when I know it was good. She's kinda picky!!!!

The photo above is the damage I did at Kirklands on my lunch break today. They were having a big sale. I love my "C" pillow and the wooden letter. The smaller lamp was $11.48 and it has a linen type shade with leopard print inside. Really cute. The rooster lamp was only $11.18 and looks good in my dining room. the other set is for the bathroom, toothbrush holder, lotion dispenser and soap holder. I got all that for $60 bucks. I am so proud. Except I am supposed to be doing the Dave Ramsey baby steps. I have to leave that debit card at home. Gotta gotta gotta, so I can live like no one else now so that I can live like no one else later!!!!!!!!This is what we have been doing alot of! 3 more games and I can stay home after work and relax and enjoy my home. Oh I just can't wait!
