MINI VACATION DAY 2

Sunday started with the buffet breakfast at the hotel and then on to the Indoor waterpark.

Coco already tired of me taking pictures.

This Daddy coming down the waterslide. I wasn't sure it was him and then we couldn't see him anyway. I got out of that slide, since we didn't have a chance to go back before we left for home.

We did partake in the Lazy River but I felt weird like everyone was going pee pee in it. The water was warm and it looked kinda yellow in places so I didn't stay in too long. Coco kept playing around and I had to keep telling her not to put her face in that water. I am just a nit pick.
I liked it outside much better. I layed out while she played. This is her coming down the slide, she did get me on this one but I will not be showing that picture!

We ate a late breakfast so for lunch we went to Maggie Moo's Ice Cream Parlor! I had never been there before and oh my their ice cream is soooooo goooooood. Coco and I had the dark chocolate with butterfinger folded in. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMY!

Do you love Wax Museum's? It is one of my favorite things in the world. I have been to this one before and 1 in Hot Springs. I want to go to a Madam Tousseau's (sp?). Maybe if we go to Vegas for our anniversary I will go there. Anyway we did the tour of the was people. It amazes me how real some of them look.
Coco hasn't seen the movie Titanic yet so she doesn't get the whole effect of this pose, but she will. The movie is on our list for this weekend. I will tell you why later.

I dream of Jeannie! She was a good sport through it all. We saw Tom Hanks as forest, Matt Damon in the Bourne Identity, The wizard of oz characters, Jack Black as Nacho Libre now that was funny and it looked just like him. I haven't seen the movie but you know it was funny.
I will finish up day 2 tomorrow. We had a good time while there.

MINI VACATION DAY 1

We left Saturday morning for a few days here.
Our first stop Ripley's Believe It of Not. This was not as fun as I remember it when I was younger. Coco did enjoy it though.
We stayed at the Grand Country Inn with the indoor waterpark and they had several buildings of fun stuff to do. We hit the fun spot Saturday night for pizza and play.
We did mini golf with black lights. This was so cool. My french manicure really glowed as did our clothes. So fun
We got back late Monday night. Had a great little trip packed full of fun and family time. More of our trip to come.
Blessings,
Pam

PAMPERED

Yesterday I spent a couple of hours at Magic Nails getting pampered. One of the ladies at work gave me a gift certificate to get a pedicure. This is a new spot in Bentonville in the Park Place Plaza.

Very nice and clean.

I got the deluxe Lemon Drop Pedicure. It came with this wonderful sparkling water with frozen fruit. Very yummy. So while she worked on my tired feet I sat back with the chair massage on and loved every minute of it. The last time I got a pedicure the salon i went to was like throw your feet in some water, splish splash, throw on some polish, stick your feet into some ugly green thin thongs and called it good. Oh no Yenni and Wey took good care of me. Wey did my feet and she exfoliated my legs with the most wonderful scrub and then massage. She put on at least 3 different types of lotions and potions. When she was finished she put my sandals on for me, took my water and purse to the nail desk. I totally felt PAMPERED! I also got french tips on my nails. I am usually not a nail girl but I was feeling a little wild. They are not long at all so that I can type and work. Taking my contacts out is a little tricky, though.
If you are local, check out Magic Nails in the Park Place Plaza in Bentonville, ask for Yenni. She is precious and tell her Miss Pam sent you.
Blessings,
Pam

BEFORE

Sorry I haven't been around. I missed y'all!

But I have a good excuse. See this below.....

Our garage was way overdue for a clean sweep. Boy did we clean. We spent alllllllllllllllll day Saturday and Sunday cleaning, painting, hanging shelves and organizing.

This is all our junk in the front yard. We had lots of people stop to see if it was a garage sale. We should have sold it all for $10 and called it a day.
But I am so glad we didn't give up. Here is the AFTER!

We still have a few things to do. We purchased 3 cabinets for the space and the first 2 we tried to install were broken so we took them all back and now we will be looking for metal cabinets or wood.
This is one of the items I demanded out of the remodel. I wanted shoe shelves right outside the door going into the house. And we have to use the garage entrance. We have horrible carpet from coming in with dirty, grassy, wet shoes all the time. Now we have a special place to put them. This area is small space between the steps and the wall so it was the perfect space.

I am so excited about it and come winter Cocomama will be parking in here too!

Be back soon!

MY DAY PRODUCTIVE IF NOTHING ELSE

I have had a very busy day. I had so many appointments, I used a personal day and didn't work at all.

It started here at the optometrist. Where we decided I would continue with the same contacts but wear readers for up close. Yea Me!

Then on to the DMV to renew my drivers license. Very quick and uneventful.

On to the endodontist(sp?) where luckily I didn't have to do the root canal but it is because he felt it was a waste of time and money because the tooth will not support a crown so I will have to get it pulled. I am so angry at my dentist, they started the root canal on this tooth a month ago and told me it was calcified and sent me to the endo. They shouldn't have even started the root canal knowing the tooth would not support a crown. They are just money hungry, I've decided. So now I have to find a new dentist to do the extraction. Oh and they recommended the tooth next to it get a root canal too but the endo tested it and it is perfectly healthy and normal! Do not go to Pinnacle Hills Dental they are a rip off !

I had to pick up Coco at my Mom's and since I was a little early we decided to hit target and walmart for school supplies. Buying school supplies is my favorite thing to d0! We couldn't find the list for her school so we used a few lists and merged them together. If we are missing something we can always go back. I also pick up extras for throughout the year while they are on sale. We also fill a backpack for another child so these prices are great. I was naive last year when I heard about the backpacks but I talked to our school and there are always several children on the first day that show up with nothing. That is so sad to me. So buy some extra crayons and pencils for your school or hook up with the local KLRC they are filling backpacks.
We had to make a stop here to pickup a order Scott called in.

We were in Kohls and Coco got this little friend which she buckled up in the back seat. He is nameless right now but that won't last for long. She names them all.
We made a few more stops before heading home and it ended up being a great day with lots of things accomplished and even some that weren't planned!
I have to tell you a funny story. We were standing in Walmart looking at the reading glasses in the pharmacy dept. I hear this man ask the girl behind the pharmacy counter where the vibrators are. Oh you could have heard a pin drop, everyone turned to look and it is this older man in one of the wheelchair carts. The clerk asked him to repeat himself, so he did. She must have just looked at him, but then she asked what type and he said for his muscles. I think he meant a massager! That poor little clerk was a young one and her facial expression after he took off was priceless, then all the ladies around us started laughing. I was quite exciting!

LOOKY LOOKY

Look what I found at Hobby Lobby tonight. See that black thingy hanging from the ceiling. It is my new cord cover. I have wanted one of these for so long but was to frugal to spend $25 for one. Well , today was my lucky day. HB has them 50% off this week. I got this baby for $9.00

I really want to paint the fixture but have never been brave enough to take it down. I wouldn't take it down but Scott could. Add it to the never ending list of things I want done.

I am having a hard time typing, I am eating frosted animal crackers and have to keep ............................................stopping to pick up the bag. Yes I am eating right out of the bag.

Anyway HB has all there garden stuff 80% off and their regular clearance is 80% off. I got my Mama a beautiful blue and white bowl with roosters on it. I would show it to you but it is still in my trunk so that I can give it to her tomorrow! She won't read this so I will tell you I got it for $5.00 and it is huge. Don't y'all go an tell her! You know who you are! The lurkers that don't leave me comments. SHAME SHAME SHAME on you! :)

I am back, had to get more cookies. You didn't even know I was gone!!!!!

Coco just got home from VBS and wants me to hang out. We are going to bed early tonight. Everyday I am so tired I don't want to get up so I am going to try going to bed earlier!

OLD

Eyes Over 40: Baby Boomers,Presbyopia & Vision Changes

If you're over 40, you've probably noticed your eyes have changed. Most notably, presbyopia — the normal, age-related loss of near focusing ability — usually becomes a problem in our 40s, requiring new vision correction solutions. Learn about measures you can take to keep seeing clearly for years to come.

So I went to the eye doctor today for my yearly appointment and boy did he have great news for me! The above is basically what my problem is!

I NEED BIFOCALS!

I am not ready for this!

I have had a kink in my neck for 3 days.

I have severe fatigue and have diagnosed myself as being allergic to gluten. But have done absolutely nothing about!

I have some major breakouts on my face in the past 2 weeks

I had a crown fall off and I have to have a root canal next week.

And the skinny little 12 year old Optometrist hands me this paper to read for those over 40 and I fail the stinkin test! I wanted to ask him if he knew it was Friday and I did not need to hear this when I have had a bad week and was so looking forward to a relaxing weekend. But I didn't, I just smiled and told him the truth. I can't see the stupid letters and why do the letters all look like they are stretching and have spikes coming out of them?

I left there with 1 stronger daily contact in my right eye and a 2 week contact in my left eye that really doesn't have much of a prescription at all, but I have to remember to save it each day and not throw it away. I am actually going to try to wear only 1 contact to see if it works because Mr. 12 year old says it will balance out the vision since 1 eye is near sited and 1 is far sited and if my brain will accept it after a few days and adjust to the difference.

And the best part is I have $300 less moola in my pocket. That is for the cheapo glasses too!

Then tonight I had the pleasure of taking Coco to her softball league end of year pool party in 1000 degree heat! Lucky me, just kidding I did enjoy sitting there for 2 hours visiting with the other mama's that refused to put on a swimsuit for public consumption!!! We girls gotta stick together.

I have taken my muscle relaxant for the crick in my neck, Zyrtec for my constant allergies and some pain pill that I got just in case my tooth starts to hurt before the root canal. I took the pain killer just in case that tooth starts to hurt while I am sleeping (he he he he)! Hoping it knocks me out and I have a good long restful sleep.

I have gone on enough for one day!
Blessings,
Pam

FRIENDS FOREVER

Coco got to have a sleepover with a couple of her BFF's this past weekend. They had fun playing in the pool, games, dress up, twister and you name it they probably got into it.

Madison, Gwendolyn and Coco decided to model for us from Coco's closet. They were strutting their stuff! Coco has a toy cell phone, I guess you can't be COOL without a cell phone.

They were outside playing around and decided to eat from Coco's carrot garden. I know I heard " I think I just ate dirt" , yes honey you probably did!

Since it was 4th of July weekend, her party decor was red, white and blue. This is my attempt at creating a star!

Opening gifts, all girly girl stuff! I especially liked the green nail polish!
I fell asleep after 1am and they were building forts in the living room. Saturday morning they told me they had stayed up until 5:41am. They were on Webkinz at 2am and played Twister sometime during the night. I think we all a good nap that afternoon.
I need help! Scott and I will be married 10 years in October, we want to take a trip (a mini big trip). Vegas is so cheap right now and I know we would have fun but we are not gamblers or the party type so that worries me. But for around $350 each we can fly from XNA and stay in one of the nicer hotels for 3 nights and 3 days I want to stay in the Paris hotel, last time I was there in 1998 they were just starting it. My sister and I were given a trip in 1998 and we had a blast, we didn't gamble much but we toured so many of the hotels and went to a show. It can be fun without being vulgar, so I don't know what to do. We want to go somewhere for 3-4 days and I don't want to go to Branson. Where can we go that is close from NW Arkansas, lots of stuff to do, relatively inexpensive and fun???

Maybe I can make a contest out of this and a giveaway ! Leave me your ideas and fun places you've been.

Blessings,
Pam

OUTDOOR DECOR

I found one of those old brass bakers racks in my Mom's storage building a while back. I think she had it since I was a baby. Anyhoo, I thought it would look great painted black and on my back porch.

Here is the result. I didn't take a before picture but I think you can imagine the brass!

Doesn't it look so cute. I should have taken Coco's goggles and the grill off the porch but oh well you get the idea.

I also put up some stars I found at Gordman's on our storage shed. I see these everywhere now. Even my neighbors have copied my stars and put them on their sheds.

It is raining here this morning, I hope it stops before the evening so that everyone can have their cookouts and fireworks. We are going to some friends for the evening.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY
