SNEAK PEEK

I couldn't wait! To many people asked to see the tree. The room isn't finished so I will show that later. My bedroom tree! Do I need more feathers??? You can't really see the frosty sticks at the top. I totally love the colors!

This is what we woke up to this morning. Our first snow of the season. Now it is raining and the snow is mostly gone, but the weather man says 70% chance for tonight.

Coco and I made these this morning for our neighbors. Aren't they cute. I have to say thanks to Kelly for the idea.

This is one I made last year. I have to say the paper and stickers are much faster than painting them. I like them both!
Have a blessed Sunday!

SATURDAY

Today has been a very productive day.

Coco had me up at 6:20 a.m.!!!!! I really wanted to sleep in. She wanted to get started on her tree for her room. I put her off until she cleaned her room and that gave me until 9 to relax. We just upgraded our cable and have tons of new channels, it is going to get me in trouble. Hallmark channel pulls me in with all these Christmas shows. Love it.

We made a trip to Hobby Lobby and Walmart. That wore me out! Both places were packed and people are so rude. Either they are standing in the middle of the isles visiting or they are trying to run you over. I had several people just run in front of us instead of being patient because someone was in front of me. No excuse me or thank you just RUDE! Makes me mad! I hope they all got spoiled milk. Just kidding but there is no reason to be that way!

After my afternoon date with Hallmark, I got the tree in our bedroom decorated. I can't wait to show ya'll on the Christmas tour. I love to do a "fancy" tree but after having Coco we do the tree in the living room in a more child like way. Our ornaments for that tree are all that have been given to us, made by Coco or ones we pick each year. So the bedroom tree fills my desire for a grown up "fancy" tree. I just love it! So I have 3 trees up and haven't even touched the other decorations. But I have gotten alot of laundry done today! A couple loads tomorrow and we will be all clean, then I just have to find room to put them away!

Scott has been gone most of the day cutting wood for a older couple in our church and helping someone put in a new door! Now that he's home the football is roaring as I type. Maybe he will get to the outdoor decorations tomorrow.

I am going to try to sneak the channel to Hallmark. Wish me luck!

Blessings,
Pam

BLACK FRIDAY

I did not have the day off from work but I did make it to a couple of sales.

I ran into Belk for boots on the way to work. I finally found Coco brown and black boots and she loved them both. Whoopie

Once I went to work I went through all the ads and just had to go to Wally world for that $4 hand mixer. I really needed one since Scott broke mine making that darn cake.

My boss let me go if I would make a photo CD for her. No problemlemo! 1 hour to wait on processing, just enough time to look for a deal.

I had planned on going into Office Depot to get Scott a GPS for $99 but Wally happened to have some for $97.00 YEAH I saved $2.00

I bought a few Christmas presents and I got my mixer, it was the last one. Yeah for me. That is crazy to get excited about a $4 mixer but it made my day. I also found Scott and I both a track suit for lounging around in. Maybe I will save his for a Christmas present.

I hit Kohls for the Micro fiber blankets and Tammy Lou wanted me to get her the outdoor prelit trees in urns for her front porch. Well I couldn't get her some without getting myself a set too. Great deal on those. They were $39 and regular price was $119 AND I got a $20 cash coupon to spend before the 6th. So I saved $100 DOLLARS! Yeah for me again. I got my blankets and the trees and got out of there before something else caught my eye!

We kept up the tradition of ordering pizza and putting up the tree tonight. I love going through the ornaments and remembering when we got them and what each one represents. That is my favorite part. Now I just have 3 more trees, the outdoor stuff and the little pieces of Christmas that I put here and there. We should finish it up tomorrow.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings,
Pam

I'm Thankful

As today is coming to an end, I am remembering parts of today with a grateful heart. We had a delicious dinner. I ate more than a person ever should have. I couldn't help myself it was soooooooooo good. We got to visit and play with the kiddos. We even got a special visit with little Ethan.
Grateful for my Lord and his grace.
For a family to go home to.
More than enough to eat.
All in good health.
My wonderful husband.
Beautiful daughter.
My little Mama.
My sister and her husband.
My nephews and niece.
A home to come back to after a great day.
A job to go to tomorrow even though I would love to hit the sales in the morning.
I am so blessed!
This is my plate at lunch today. Ham, broccoli casserole, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and rolls. YUMMMY
After lunch we did a little photo shoot. I have get better with the lighting thing!
When Ethan got there he wanted on his motorcycle. He is getting really good driving it by himself. You can't see but his Daddy was right behind him every step of the way.
I hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving today.
Blessings,
Pam

WHO WILL BE THE WINNER?

Tonight is the finals! I am voting for Lance Bass (no I don't support his lifestyle) but I think he is the best dancer. I don't like Brooke and Warren is great but not as good as a dancer!

Sorry for the small pictures but can't get them to enlarge!

What will we do on Monday nights now??? I guess we'll have to wait until January for the new Bachelor. I try to watch all of those too. What is your favorite?
I am feeling much better. Thanks for all the prayers. I didn't go to the doctor. I have decided that the Flonase was giving me the sore throat and my symptoms are for the most part gone since I quit using it. I should just go to medical school for all the doctoring I do for myself!!
Today was a fun day at work. My boss is retiring and we had lunch at the Red Lobster in town. Wow it was good. I had Calamari, fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, the yummiest mashed potatoes ever, crab legs and a sinful lava chocolate cookie with ice cream. Oh and cheese sticks and fried veggies for appetizers. My mouth is watering just thinking about all that goodness, but I don't think I can eat another thing today!
I also ran into Hobby Lobby for their sale on wrapping supplies. I like to keep all the wrapping coordinated and I found some really cute wrapping paper and ribbon. I also got supplies to make some of the ornaments that Kelly's Korner had posted on her blog. They are so cute.
I have to go make Scott something to eat before he starves and I miss Dancing!
GO LANCE and LACEY
Blessings,
Pam

HEART OF TULSA

We had a wonderful time together in Tulsa yesterday. The Heart of Tulsa craft fair was so fun. I found lots of bargains. Unfortunately I woke up on Saturday with a very sore throat and it has continued to get worse. It is painful to swallow. I didn't let that stop me from going with the girls, but today I feel even worse. I am ashamed to say I didn't make it to church this morning and I want to go back to bed. Maybe after this post. Is anyone else having such horrible allergies this season? I can't seem to shake the allergies this year. Constant congestion and now the sore throat again, it has only been 2 weeks since I was at the doctor for this. Maybe those antibiotics didn't kill whatever thing I have. Guessing tomorrow I will be back to the doc!!!

I want to show ya'll what I got yesterday. This is my aunt Thelma, Mama and Me. Aren't they just the cutest! We don't get to hang out like this to often so I really enjoyed spending the day with them.

I found this purse 50% off so I couldn't pass it up. The black wallet was also 50% off. I got both for $28 dollars! Love a great bargain. The red wallet is a small clutch type. It was only 12.50 and I didn't see them anywhere else at the fair for under $20. I probably would have spent the $20 because I have wanted one for awhile. We all four bought a purse like the one above , but in different colors. Tammy Lou talked me into this tote bag. She was getting one and I liked it but was on the fence. As I was looking this one with the "C" was already monogrammed and then another one with a "P" so I think it was meant to be. She had to wait for hers to be monogrammed but mine was all ready. We are both addicted to tote bags.

We stopped at Old Time Pottery and I found more Christmas balls and ribbon in the brown tones. I plan to do a tree in our bedroom in the browns, rusts, and golds. The balls were only $2.99 and the ribbon was $3.99. Much more affordable than the ones I bought at Hobby Lobby last week. I can't wait to get this up and decorated. I hope to link to Boomamas Christmas tour so you will get to see all of our Christmas decor.

After the fair we had lunch at Mimi's which is one of my favorite spots. I didn't get any photos of our lunch together. We also stopped at Ross's to have a look see. I love Ross, it takes time to look around everything but you can find some great deals if you take your time. I bought a vest and Coco some winter shirts for school.

The shopping ended up being just about us. We all spent more on ourselves than buying Christmas presents, which we all thought was pretty funny. I guess we needed this girls day out. I have to say it again I had a great time with my girls!

Please pray that this illness goes away. Especially the sore throat. I really want to be able to eat all the Thanksgiving goodness that Mama prepares for us. I have been focusing on all the things I am Thankful for this year and my Mama and our family is at the top of list. I don't know what I would do without them. They make me happy!!!!

Blessings,
Pam

Weekend Plans

I have been such a slacker this week. I don't know what I've been doing but blogging has been on the back burner.

I have such a great Saturday planned and I am totally excited. I am meeting my sister, mom and aunt early early tomorrow to go to the Heart of Tulsa craft fair. I have never been to a craft fair outside of Arkansas. The web says they have 600 vendors. We should definitely find some great Christmas gifts. I am looking forward to just spending the day with them to. Tammy and I have always have fun when we hang out. Probably because we get kind of silly like planning what we would do if we won a million dollars or something. It might help if we really bought the lottery tickets, but that wouldn't be a good a steward of our money. It would be much better to drive 2 hours to go to a craft fair! Ha Ha We do a lot of laughing and making fun of each other. Its gonna be a great day! Coco is not to happy about her Mama being gone all day. Poor little thing I had to tell her she couldn't go because I couldn't buy her presents for Christmas if she was with me. This satisfied her for like a minute!

I need help! I splurged and ordered Coco a American Girl doll and now I need some clothes for the doll. I can't afford to buy the AG brand so I need to know where to buy clothes for a "18" inch doll. Anyone have an idea! I would love to sew her some but that would be stretching my sewing skills a little too much and when I tried to sew on a monogram last month I had to end up cutting the shirt out of my sewing machine! So please send me any ideas or places that I can buy clothes.

Hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend! I will let you know about all the treasures we find in Tulsa!

Blessings,
Pam

Perfect Sunday

Instead of Sunday school we took church out in to the community today. We had several different groups. Some picked up trash on the streets, pumped gas at the station, washed cars, visited the old folks home, and our group raked leaves. Coco was such a trooper, she did great. My elbows are so sore. I think I have tennis elbow and I am feeling it along with the allergies with all the leaves and dust! It felt great to be out helping people.

Now as promised. Some photos of my mother-in-laws home.
This is in her living room, a collection of her butter churns and crocks
This is going down the hall, more crocks and photos. The first picture is of scotts great grandparents.
This is the master bedroom, isn't in beautiful. I love this sleigh that sits atop her entertainment center in the living room. She has some beautiful pieces and collections. We joke about me and her daughter selling it all in a garage sale someday. I told her she should put notes in everything so that we don't sell it for $2 or something. I hope she knows I am joking.
We had a great weekend. Hope you did too!
Blessings,
Pam

Time for a new post

Time to get rid of the deer, don't cha think!

This is where I have been all week.
I am on #4 Breaking Dawn. Yes it has been a slow week at work! I shouldn't read at work but I am in the mortgage business and that is the way it is rolling right now! I have heard lots of good things about this series but didn't think I would enjoy it. Until my sister started reading them and convinced me to try. She is not a reader, so if she was into it then I knew it must be good. Well let me tell you I couldn't put them down. Go read these! They are not the gory evil stuff I expected, just good reading!

Friday night we had a GIRLS NIGHT OUT at church to scrapbook. It was fun but I am so disorganized, it is awful! I worked on a retirement book for my boss and got about 8 pages done so that was a success!

I wanted to go to this today www.nwaboutiqueshow.com but I procrastinated until it is to late to traipse off to Fayetteville. I heard they had some amazing stuff. Oh well my loss and my checkbook is a little heavier for it.

Scott just informed me that we are having dinner with his parents tonight. Good thing since he left Coco there today. Her home is beautiful, she collects primitive antiques. I will take some pictures to show you later.

I suppose I better get busy finishing the housecleaning before it is time to get ready.

Have a wonderful weekend

Blessings
Pam

WARNING!!! DEAD DEER AHEAD

This is for you Ashley! Scott is down in his back from packing this thing around to get it out of the woods and getting it hung up to skin and back down to take to the butcher.

He is having lots of breakfast sausage and jerky made from it, along with ground meat for chili!

I have the day off for Veterans Day. I think I will go do some early Christmas shopping! I have a hankering for TJ Maxx. Haven't been there in weeks.

On my list to purchase today.
Black & brown boots for Coco
Digital Camera for Coco
Barbie/baby doll for Kaylee
Christmas outfit for Coco
Some things for our secret santa gifts
Operation Christmas child gifts

Wish me luck. I can't seem to find boots for her anywhere.

Blessings,
Pam

WEEKEND RECAP

I can't believe the weekend is already over. I was too short or maybe that was because I have been in bed since Friday night. The little upper respiratory virus Coco had turned into full blown sinus infection and wheezy in my lung. Praise God it hasn't turned into pneumonia. Which I thought I had when I had Scott take me to Wellquest at 5pm on Saturday. After antibiotics, nasal spray and inhaler I think I am on the mend. I have had the most horrific headache today. No medication is touching it. Finally I had Scott go get me a coke and I think the caffeine has helped.

I am disappointed because I missed so many things I wanted to do. Oh well I guess I needed the rest more. It did make me evaluate my health and will be making some changes. Maybe with some exercise, taking my vitamins...I am terrible at that, staying hydrated, eating more fruits and veggies. I need to take better care of myself.

Coco came home on Friday and told me about the assembly they had. She said a person from "The GOONIIIESSS BOOK OF RECORDS" came to the school. You have to sound it out to get the full experience. She is still arguing with about the pronunciation. Funny girl.

While I was in bed Scott went hunting this morning and came home with a 9 point buck. I will save you from the pictures. I think it is gross! But it makes him happy. I told him I wasn't going to eat it either!

Actually looking forward to Monday to get back to work and feeling somewhat normal.

Have a great week!

ELECTION DAY

I was home today with a sick child so I got to go vote early.

I urge you to go vote. This is a right that was fought for us many many years ago and I feel we should take that very seriously!

Beth Moore wrote a great post about this on the LPM blog. Go check it out! If you need a link go on over to the left side of my blog and click on the LPM Blog.

I kind of wish that I had planned a election day watch party. Wouldn't that be fun?

It will probably be a late night and we won't really know for sure until tomorrow who are next commander and chief will be.

Either way this is a historical election and the world as we know it will be changed.

Proud to be an American and have the rights we have and thankful for all the people that have fought for these rights and freedoms.

P.S. I have added FOLLOWERS to my blog. If you visit here often please add yourselves to the follower list. Thanks
