House Showing and Other Happenings

We showed our house to a young couple last night. They gave us lots of compliments but we haven't heard from them. I think they are looking for owner financing. I told them we are not in a position to do that and then I gave them lots of ideas for loans. The house I wanted has sold already but we are still going to try and sell. There are lots of homes out there and if ours sells we will find one or rent until we do. If we keep waiting we will be here when grandchildren come.
Scott is home with the flu. I brought him Gatorade, orange slices and masks. I don't think he was thrilled with the masks but I am to busy to get sick. The $8000 tax credit for new home owners is coming to the end and everyone is trying to get in before the deadline. I like being busy but I would like to see it stretch out into next year.
Coco went on her first SEEK field trip today and made her first origami. I wanted it to put up for her scrapbook and she looked at me like I was crazy. She wants to play with it not glue it to a book. The fondness will fade and I will glue it to a book and she will be glad I did, someday!
Halloween is just almost here. I just don't get excited about this. Coco is going to be Alex from Wizards of Waverly Place. My Moms church is having trunk or treat so we are going up to help her with that. I have suggested this at our church but we have never done it. Things are changing there so maybe we can next year. We used to have a big fall festival with games and a cake walk, this year they are having a illusionist come perform. I am sure all the kiddos are happy about that. It would be great to see but not on the night that all the kids want candy! We'll see how it turns out, maybe I will be wrong and it will be a hit.
What are you doing for halloween? Traditional trick or treating?
Blessings,
Pam

AUTUMN IN NORTWEST ARKANSAS

First I want to say Happy Birthday to Scott. Today was his birthday and poor thing spent it all sick and stuffy!
Late Saturday afternoon we went for a drive to the lake to look at all the pretty fall colors. I had also wanted to take some photos.
This is in the Prairie Creek area. Isn't it gorgeous.

Lots of deer just grazing in yards.

I love how the trees are mirrored in the water. Need to alter this one to get rid of the boat docks.

My little munchkin with her dimples just a shining!

My 2 dream homes. I can picture myself in both of these!

The water is really up at Beaver lake.

A little Eskimo!
This is peak week for fall foliage in our area.
Blessings,
Pam
P.S. My lesson for the day, don't give AZO to a 9 year old girl without telling her what will happen. Poor child she thought all kinds of things were happening to her! I on the other hand can't stop laughing .

10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

10 years ago today I married the love of my life. Looking back at these photos brings back so many memories. Our wedding was beautiful and didn't last near long enough. I loved my dress and I didn't get to wear it enough either.

We have changed so much since that day!

And he is still the love of my life.

These are my gifts for our anniversary. I have always wanted pearls and he remembered. I am blessed to have such a loving, kind and generous partner for life. I don't tell him enough how thankful I am that God brought us together. I love you Scott and look forward to the next 10 years.

WEEK IN REVIEW

The end of the week and weekend were super busy for us but we had alot of fun. Thursday night after work I had to pickup 60 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts for the PTO Donuts with Dad on Friday morning. I also had to be up really early to be at the school to help with it.

This is half of the donuts being loaded into my car. I have a story about this car for later.

After work on Friday I ran to Walmart to get some groceries and I found Coco some leg warmers. I loved these back in the 80's. I think mine were pink. She was so excited and she wore them to Silver Dollar City on Saturday. She went with her bff for her birthday. She said a bunch of teenage girls commented on them which made her love them even more.

Saturday I got to spend the day with my sis going to the Craft Fairs. We ventured out to War Eagle and were so disappointed. War Eagle is mostly the real artisans not the homemade crafty stuff we like. Oh well, we enjoyed the time together.

After we got back into Springdale we went by Mothers and she had fresh Banana Bread and it was so yummy.
Tammy had to go into the store for a few minutes so I went with her and my 2 favorite boys were there. My nephews Ethan and Lil Jon. Lil Jon is my Nephew Dallas's stepson. This was the first time he actually ran to me for hugs. I was so excited. Ethan always comes running but Lil Jon has been a little shy up until now. I am so glad that they are so loving and not timid towards me.
Little E "Ethan"

Lil Jon. See why I love them so. Cutest boys in the world (to me)!
Blessings,
Pam

HOW ABOUT THEM HOGS!!!!

Scott and I got to watch the first half of the game against Auburn. I am really getting into this watching football. Our boys did so good and I am really proud since so many thought we would get beat! We played good that first half and I got a little worried in the 3rd quarter but we got our game on and brought it home!!!! Coco thought I was crazy and wouldn't call the Hogs with me. I will have to work on that girl. She did talk me into buying her a Hog jersey to wear on game days.

I love going to the games but you just can't beat laying on the couch in my razorback jammies. I can see more on tv than when we are in the stands. I also have this anxiety problem in crowds so watching from home works best for me. Now that we have the new tv it is even better. I tried watching some of the other games while we were at the hospice house later in the day but the little regular tv is very limited and I felt like I needed to be right up in front of it to see.

I took these few photos of the tv just to record our watching the game.

Loving me some SEC football.

Ryan Mallett our quarterback!
I really wanted to see the LSU vs Florida Saturday night but I didn't. I haven't even heard the outcome of the game. Oh well now you know where you can find me when the Razorbacks are playing. I have been known to watch a little Sunday NFL too. We are fans of the Kansas City Chiefs and I like to watch the Cowboys too.

Blessings,
Pam

I have tried to write this post several times today and just don't even know what to say. So I will keep it brief.

Our friend Beth went home to Jesus early this morning. She gave it her all to battle the cancer. God needed her more. His plans are not our plans.

Please keep her husband, daughters and all their family in your prayers as they make arrangements. As this settles in for them. Someone made the comment yesterday that this battle has been their normal for the past year and a half. There will be a new normal to make now.

Blessings,
Pam

TGIF

I thought this week would never end! I came home with great intentions of getting my housework done so that I could be free to watch the Hogs in the morning. I washed 2 loads of laundry. I fell asleep around 7:30pm and Coco woke me up at 9:30pm. Instead of working I am on the computer. Can't do anything with her and Scott sleeping so I will blog. Thank goodness Monday is a holiday but I really didn't want to spend it cleaning.

I am excited about the game tomorrow. We are playing Auburn and I work with Lee Ziemba's mom. He is offensive tackle for Auburn and went to high school here. I wish I would have worn a razorback shirt so we could of gotten a picture. Her and her husband were all decked out in their Auburn attire. I thought I was going to miss seeing the game due to Coco's cheering schedule but our game is not until 4pm so it worked out. Hopefully it will be warmer at 4pm too!

On a totally different note, I need some ideas. Our 10 year anniversary is coming up and I am at a loss on what to do for Scott. We had hoped to go on a mini trip but that is not going to be possible. Maybe a overnighter but that would be it. I need your ideas!!!!

STORMY

Very stormy in our area tonight. I was at our Girl Scouts Service Unit meeting when it hit and all these women were getting calls about tornado warnings. Scary but I made it home. I couldn't see but I made on a wing and a prayer!

It has been a busy week at work so I am behind on everything else. At the meeting they kept talking about forms I was supposed to have and I was trying to remember where I put them. I really need a home organizer to come set me straight. Slowing down would probably help.

Our friend Beth was taken to hospice today. The cancer has taken over and there is nothing more mere medicine can do. The doctor says she will have a week or two. It is so hard to believe that this is the end of her life. It is so hard to know what to say or do. Even though she hadn't been told she knew. She had a talk with her 2 girls yesterday about it and she wasn't told until this morning. Several things have happened in the past few days that make me think she knew it was getting close. She has been very brave throughout this journey but God must have bigger and better plans. I pray that her husband and daughters and all the other family find comfort and peace through God. He will their rock in the next few weeks. Please add them to your prayers.

Blessings,
Pam

SOUPER SATURDAY

Saturday I made Taco Soup. We decided that since colder weather is coming and we love soup on cold days that Saturdays would now officially be Soup day!

If you have any great recipes, send them my way.

My recipe for Taco Soup

1lb ground beef (browned and drained)
1 can rotel
2 cans red beans
1 can whole kernel corn
1 can yellow hominy
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 pkg dry ranch dressing

Put all ingredients into crockpot, stir, cook on low for 5-6 hours. You can easily make this on stove top in less time.

Serve with frito chips, shredded cheese and sour cream.

Makes a bunch!

Enjoy

Fall Decor

From this

To this

And this.
I saw this on another blog (sorry can't remember which one) and loved the black/white theme. Sorry for the blurryness but hope you get the idea. Aren't they sweet. I put them on my coffee table.
Oh I think I just deleted one of the photos.
This is on my table
in the kitchen. I usually have it full of green apples, but it looks great with all the little pumpkins.

PUMPKIN PATCH

After spending the past 2 days laid up with a viral infection ( I really think it was the flu). I knew I had to get out today because I had made reservations for my Girl Scout troop to visit the Pumpkin Patch. I didn't go to Coco's ballgame this morning so I could save my energy for the pumpkin patch. Thank goodness I did. It wore me out.
We had a hay ride, maze, photo shoot, they had a barrel ride and then we picked out a pumpkin each. We spent almost 2 hours out there. Lots and lots of fun. The outdoors did me good. I was actually feeling better after being out. Tired but better!
While the girls picked their pumpkin, I did some shooting. I love this photo of the pumpkin!
Coco on top of a hay bale. We both dressed for cool weather but it ended up being quite warm.

Coco and Gwendolyn in the maze. I think it was sorghum not corn or hay. I know it took us awhile to find our way out.

Coco's tiny pumpkin she picked out.
WOOOOOO PIG SOOOOOIE! Go Hogs. I was watching the game and we were ahead 37 to 13 against Texas A&M but something happened with the channel and now I can't find it. Dad burn it! It was good! Proud of our HOGS!!!!!
