Happy Halloween

Here is the little vampiress! She is going to throw a hip out if she doesn't watch it.

We met up with a friend of hers while we were out. They decided they were peoples conscience. Good and evil, get it?
I love this one below with the sky behind them.
This was the sky as the sun was going down. So pretty.

Coco dumped us to go with the friend to a church event. We were left standing on the sidewalk looking at each other, like what just happened. Scott said someday it is going to be like this all the time. She will choose her friends over us. I asked him as we were walking back home if he would still like me when that happens. He assured me he would. Well, I sure hope so because I am all you got baby, LOL.
We ended up going out to subway, getting a movie and ice cream while she was gone. We came home and gave out all our candy to trick or treaters. I think giving out the candy is my favorite part of Halloween. A great night.
Coco came home upset. She HATED the night. Not just dislike Mom but I hated it, she said. They had a hotdog roast and hayride. Apparently a boy she likes was there and another girl made some comments that embarrassed her. She was freezing, it was boring, blah blah blah. We laid on her bed while she cried and told me about the night. She prayed about it and felt better but it left me wondering about the future. About nights when she is 16 and gets her heart broken or a friend does her wrong. I hope we will be able to lay on the bed while we cry together and she tells me all about it. I pray that this closeness we have now will continue. Bless her heart. I want to take all the hurt away.
Looking forward to the weekend at home.
Blessings, Pam

THANK YOU

Thank everyone for their prayers for my family.

I just got off the phone with Stacy. She is drugged up on Demerol and is cracking me up. I told her she sounded drunk, I don't think she even cared! She is eating snickers and drinking her sweet tea. Her surgery went very well. She was worried about the doctors hitting her voice box and losing her voice. Well she definitely did not lose her voice! Bless her heart. She should be home by tomorrow afternoon.

The other one Pete, went well also. His surgery was a little more intense. They repaired the neck but the lacerations on his head had to be re-worked. They had gotten infected since Saturday. So please continue to pray for the infection to be out of there. That being so close to the brain, really worries me. And the fact that staph is easy to get at the hospital, but they didn't say that was what the infection was. Please keep praying for his continued improvement.

Do you get your kiddos Halloween gifts? The photo below is Coco's gift. It is usually not so much but I found the pajama's at the Walmart sample store for like $5 and couldn't pass them up. The Harry Potter book was a last minute item that we bought at Walmart instead of buying it at the school book fair. Much cheaper. The eyeball gumballs and the gummy snake are gross to me but she loved them . She was excited about it all !

Homework will wear a girl out. I went in to check on her tonight while she was doing her reading for school. This is what I found. Isn't that precious. She only read 3 pages out of the 2 chapters she was supposed to read. We will have to get up a little earlier tomorrow morning.

TGIF tomorrow. I am so ready for the weekend, we have lots of chores planned around the house since it is supposed to be a nice weekend.

Blessings, Pam

PRAYER REQUESTS

I ask for your prayers for a couple of family members on Thursday.

My cousin Pete had a jeep accident while rock crawling this past weekend. He has 2 broken vertebrae in his neck. They are going to operate at 10am on Thursday to repair them.

Another cousin Stacy is having surgery to have her thyroid removed Thursday at the same time.

Please pray for their doctors, strength for each of them and quick recoveries for both.

Thank you in advance for your prayers. I am so blessed to know so many believers that will join us in this time of need and for all the bloggers that come to my blog that I don't even know. Praise the Lord for this blogging world because I know lots of prayers will be sent on behalf of my family tomorrow.

Blessings, Pam

WEEKEND RECAP

We have had a busy weekend. Saturday we celebrated my nephew Ethan's 3rd birthday. He is such a sweet boy. Here he is with his monster truck themed cake. He couldn't wait to blow out the candles.
His daddy got him his very own motorcycle. He loved it. He told his daddy it was a real budden budden. He loves anything loud and anything just like his daddy.

Scott and I were given tickets to the Hog game last night. We were sitting on the east side just as the sun was going down.
This is backwards but you can see where the UofA band spelled GO HOGS! It was great game and we should have won. We had a couple of controversial calls at the end of the game that could have gone our way if given the chance. We played against our last years coach that has moved on to Ole Miss. I think we played well and given more time and experience we will have a great team.
Today was Scott's birthday and we had lunch at my mothers. While we were there we had some early trick or treaters. Rylie and Raegan came over early because their mom is having surgery in Kansas this Thursday so they won't be in town for Halloween. Aren't they the cutest things ever.
The cake Mimi and Coco made for him. Do you see his name written in the icing? Coco did that. We don't cook a lot of fried foods so mother always tries to make him some good ole southern fried food for his birthday. We had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, biscuits and gravy. A yummy home cooked meal!

Coco was gone Friday and Saturday night so Scott and I got to spend some quality time just the 2 of us. It was a wonderful weekend except my house is a wreck and laundry has piled up. I better get busy since I have a couple of hours before bed and I will sleep better knowing I am getting up to a clean house in the morning.
Blessings, Pam

OCTOBER 23, 1999

Yesterday was our 9th wedding anniversary. I can't find my wedding cd so I took some photos of our scrapbook (that i finished at year 8). During the past 9 years we have had lots of ups & downs. But through it all we are committed to each other and the vows we took that day. We had a beautiful wedding at FBC in Cave Springs. Of course there are things I would change but the most important happened! God knew exactly who I needed in my life when he sent Scott to me. I am so blessed!

The KISS! When the pastor told him he could kiss his bride he didn't waste anytime. Then he kissed my forehead. So sweet, even made grown men cry! His uncle Ed told us that when that boy kissed her head, I just about lost it. Me too. My protector! I felt cherished at that moment.

We look so young in these pages. He was 29 and I 31. Yes I robbed the cradle.

I remember this moment of walking back down the isle as Mr. an Mrs. Scott __________. So happy and in love.

This is one of my favorite photos.

My absolute favorite photo of the day! Sorry about the glare of the flash. He is my big strong man and I am so safe in his arms. Beautiful day.
It was a great day. I loved my dress and my friends being there with me. They day just went by way to fast. Looking at weddings today I wish I could do it all over again. I love the weddings of today with all the style. I would have gotten rid of those bangs! HA
We stayed in Tulsa on our wedding night and left the next day for Cancun. A glorious week at the beach.
We came back home with 1 addition to our newly joined family. We got pregnant on our wedding night. Coco was due exactly 40 weeks from our wedding day!
Whew what a surprise! More on that later!
Hope everyone has a great day!
Blessings
Pam

I'M TIRED!

I am just tired. My tank is empty. I feel disconnected. I have been so busy the past few weeks that I can't seem to feel settled. Scott's birthday is Sunday and I told him I was giving him a wonderful present. I was going to leave on Friday, go stay in a hotel by myself until Sunday. So that I could nap, revive, read, just BE! Of course I was only kidding (maybe not if he was for it) but he wasn't. Doesn't that sound divine! Oh I can close my eyes and just picture the nothingness!!

We will be married 9 years on Thursday and sometimes I still miss those veg nights that I had while being single. I think I just need to spend some quality time with my Lord and he will restore me.

I have been reading my Outflow study and one thing really stood out to me. The author told us to imagine our life as a fountain. The old-fashioned four-tiered kind of water fountain, with a tall column in the center carrying the water upward before it cascades down into four bowls below. The four bowls represent our relationships. The water is the Holy Spirit, the top bowl is me, the next bowl is my family and friends, the next bowl my community and the bottom bowl my world. He says just as the central column fills the fountain , so too the Holy Spirit wants to fill every one of my relationships with God's love, joy and wonder.

That is what I want. I want to be overflowing with the Holy Spirit so that it flows into every single person, place or thing I see, touch or speak too. So many times lately I have let the actions of others get in my way of overflowing. I struggle with showing that love when I know people are being mean or unfair. I have let that interfere with my spiritual life. I think that is why I am running on empty. My God time has been non-existent lately. I start bible studies, just to put them away after a few days. One question in the Outflow book is "Is your life richly flowing with peace? power? passionate purpose? romance? No No No No. But I know how to fix that. I have to put my Lord back in my daily life. I need his guidance. I need to feel him walking with me, guiding me, loving me. He is my strength! I just need JESUS! So if you think of it please say a little prayer for me.

I feel a little better. Thanks for letting me get that out!

The photos below are some practice landscape shots I took on Sunday. I just love the blue of the sky. Gods beauty.
Still playing with Aperture. See how the background is kinda fuzzy. I meant to do that!
Blessings,
Pam

SUNDAY

I didn't wake up until after 9am
Went to McDonalds and brought breakfast home
Missed church
Cleaned house for a little while
We all got ready for pictures
Went up to the elementary where there is a pretty maple tree.
Took lots of fall photos

I forgot the most important piece to my tripod so I couldn't get photos of all 3 of us together.
Scott took this one.

This was taken at Bogle Park in Bentonville. This is a gorgeous park right off the square. There were 4 different professional photographers there.

Went to wally world for groceries.
Stopped by Scott's parents.
Loaded my pictures
Blogging
Going to bed soon.
It took me 9 minutes to load these photos. Does anyone know of a faster way or is it just my computer. I load them into my photos file and then load them here. I have noticed that if I use a photo from the web it is much faster. Help.

Have a wonderful week everyone
Blessings,
Pam

I drew my SIL name for Christmas so she is getting this lovely mini flag with her initial. This was only $15.00 isn't it adorable. I am disappointed in myself for not getting us one.

These are for me and my MIL for her birthday. I think I will make a silver ball chain to put mine on. It will look so cute with a turtleneck and jean jacket.

Scott killed a 11 point doe with horns today. The game and fish called it a morphadite? Weird.

Went to dinner at Acambaros (fajitas were to tough to eat) so we stopped by Mcd's for cinna melts for dessert.

Scott and Coco are at his parents watching the Hogs play while I took a nap.

Looking forward to church tomorrow. We started the study Outflow this week, which we are doing in service, sunday school and small groups. Very interesting study. I am some thoughts that I will post later.

Sunday

Today was a great day.

Church service was good.

Our first day back in a Sunday school class.

Afternoon nap.

Dinner at in-laws.

Made these 2 after we got home from dinner.

My favorite is the bottom one. I love those colors. These are going to be gifts, if I can part with them once I start decorating for Christmas.
I have tomorrow off and I am so excited. I really wanted to go to Eureka for the day but Scott thinks we should stay in town and maybe go see a movie. Coco wants me to come have lunch with her at school and I haven't done that yet this year.
I have to get started on her room. We bought my nephews bedroom set for her and it is in our garage. I bought it with plans to paint it white but Coco and Scott are both wanting to leave it the wood. There goes my plan to pretty it up. I am giving in for now, but it will probably end up painted before long.
Maybe I can get it all done before she gets out of school.
Blessings,
Pam

New Addiction

This is my newest addiction. Thanks to Betasseled I spent time Friday making this tassel. Isn't it cute. I used a Christmas ornament I found at Hobby Lobby and some trims I had previously found at a garage sale last summer.

I picked up several different ornaments to make as gifts for Christmas.

I forgot to take photos today for my Week in Life so I am going to start tomorrow.

You can still enter to win the giveaway until Monday evening.

And can we say "whooooooooooo pig soooooooooooie, GO HOGS! They beat Auburn today 25 to 22. I think we have a great team in the making!

Off to watch Mr. McDreamy in Made of Honor. I think Scott agreed to rent this just to get me out of the movie store.

HAVE YOU BEEN BOO-D ???

I heard about this neighborhood tradition last year but I didn't follow through with it. Then when I was lurking around on Kellys blog she had posted the instructions with the poem and everything. I couldn't wait for it to get dark so Coco and I could deliver these under the veil of darkness.

We left them on 2 friends doors. I just hope Coco doesn't go to school and tell them it was us. The first house was easy because they weren't home. The second we weren't sure so Scott parked around the corner and Coco and I took it to the door, sat it down, rang the doorbell and ran like the wind. Well I really needed some wind and it was only 3 houses up the street. I thought I was never going to catch my breath. I haven't ran like that in years. I loved it!

This is #99 so you know what is coming up. I hope to post again by the weekend for my giveaway!

Hope everyone has a terrific Thursday! It will be my last day of photography class. Good thing they aren't grading or I would be going to summer school! I just can't seem to get it!

Blessings,

Pam

A CHRISTMAS LIST

I asked Coco for her Christmas list.

This is what I got!

CHRISMAS LIST
1. BIKE (LIKE MOMS)
2. FOOTBALL
3. CAMRA (LIKE MOMS OLD ONE)
4. HUGS
5. KISSES
6. POMPOMS (BLACK & WHITE)
7. CHEER SHIRT (BLACK & WHITE)
8. CHEER TANK TOP (BLACK & WHITE)
9. BENDAROOS
10. KITTEN
11. PUPPY
12. FISH
13. TRIP TO THE ZOO
14. JURSY (IN CASE I GO TO THE HOG GAMES WITH DAD)
15. MOM & DAD
(SPELLING COMPLIMENTS OF COCO)
She is the sweetest girl in the world. I love the hugs, kissses, mom & dad.
I wonder, how old are they when they stop asking for dogs and cats? We've been down this road before and they are both outside now. The fish we can handle. At least she won't have a sister that lets the fishys go down the drain. Because she is older and mom makes her clean the tank. I still think she did it on purpose!
Blessings,
Pam

FOOTBALL FRENZY

Last week Coco got to cheer/dance at the high school game. She went to cheer clinic all week and each class performed at half time. Watching all those kindergartners trying to shake their hips was so cute. Coco still has problems, she moves her whole body when she trys to shake it.

I am taking a photo class and learning how to use the shutter speed and aperture settings so these photos aren't the best.

Caught some movement in this photo.
This is one is too blurry but you can see her biting her tongue. My daddy always bit his tongue when he concentrated and Coco got that trait from him.
This is my 97th post. I will have to start working on a giveaway for my 100th, so come back. I have some ideas for the giveaway.

TGIF tomorrow. I am so ready for the weekend!

Blessings,
Pam

ANOTHER COCO STORY

Tuesday night we were with some friends and the girls found a frog. Or TOAD is what Sunny called him. She got something to put him in and the frog peed in the container.

On our way home I told Coco not to put her hands in her mouth after touching that frog because she would get warts.

Coco: Mom that is just a myth.

Me: Do you know what a myth means?

Coco: yes, it is just a old legend that people used to tell.

Me: Where did you learn that?

Coco: I didn't, I just thought of it by myself!

Yes, I have a smart little girl!

Just precious I tell ya!!!!

BIG DREAMS

I love the mornings when Coco and I are in the car waiting in line to drop her off for school. We have some wild conversations.

This morning it went something like this.

Coco: Mom what do you call a waitress that is a boy?

Me: A waiter

Coco: What about a Mait r de(sp?)

Me: I think it would be for boy or girl. Or host and hostess

Coco: I am going to be a DOORMAN, they make lots of money because they stand up all day.

Me: Well thats different when did you decide this?

Coco: No I will have a son named NORMAN and he will be a DOORMAN

Me: That sounds like a good plan ( while I am trying hard not to laugh)

She keeps me entertained.

Blessings,
Pam
